Kate loses her first tooth!

Aww...Our sweet Kate lost her first tooth on Sunday, December 7th.  She has been obsessed with having a "wiggly" tooth since she went to the dentist in October.
Kate's version of the story on Sunday morning:  "Well, at first I didn't know what it was.  I thought there was 'like' a bug in my mouth, and then I realized it was my tooth."
So on Sunday night, Kate placed her tooth in a small pillow under her pillow and the Tooth fairy came for a visit.  The Tooth fairy even took a selfie and left a picture for Kate in the morning.

10th Anniversary Trip - Great Exuma, Bahamas

Over the past couple of years, I have learned that you have to cherish what you have.  So in our hectic life, it was important to me that John and I take some time away for our 10th Anniversary  and celebrate each other.  We are blessed to have wonderful families that help with the kids while we escaped over Thanksgiving break.  We are grateful for your help!

We stayed at the Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma, Bahamas.  It was beautiful and very windy, but that didn't stop us from sitting poolside.  I enjoyed having conversations again without little adorable interruptions.
John played golf one day and I rode along and read my book.  The views were amazing!
It was nice for the both of us to focus on our relationship for a quick 5 day trip before returning to our ever-so wonderful reality!
Our parents were gracious to send tons of pics and videos during our trip.  This video of the kids was my favorite, especially Sage's sweet voice and Emma's "we're making some cookies!"  I am not sure where she gets that hip-hop style from?!?!

Hoop it up, Emma!

Thank goodness for peer pressure!  As you can imagine, I have always wanted Emma to play basketball.  She has always said no,,,that is, until she found out her friend Reagan was was playing. She has had a great introduction to the game and most of all, she is having fun.

Sage the Sports Fan!

Sage attended his first Bengals game this fall!
Who Dey!
Sage also had a blast going to his first Blue Jackets game.  He especially loved the music!

Happy 7th Birthday Emma!

Wow, it seems like only yesterday that I was eating Skyline Chili and sitting on an exercise ball to get my labor started 7 years ago!  Emma continues to bless us each and every day!  She is a perfect example of a big sister, eldest daughter, and friend.  She loves 1st grade and loves being involved with soccer, daisy scouts, basketball and piano.  Emma is always singing and striking a pose or dancing (she's a big fan of The Voice) - I'm not sure if she'll be into athletics, drama or show choir!
Emma and Kate are big fans of "Nerdy Nummies" on YouTube.  They love watching cooking shows and love watching cake decorating.  SO...last weekend for Emma's 7th Birthday party we headed to OurCupcakery in Dublin for a cupcake/cookie decorating birthday party!
Kate and Hailey working on their cookies.
 Emma and her friends!
The finished products...Yum!
Emma doesn't care for cupcakes...so she shared with her Mom and Dad.
 So Sweet!
 Our family at Emma's party!

Sage and Kate wish their big Sister a happy birthday!
Emma with her "Throw Back Thursday" gift!  She was showered with awesome gifts from her friends and family.
More treats - we celebrated Emma's birthday tonight with a cookie cake!
May God continue to bless our little girl!

Happy Halloween!

Elsa, Olaf and Anna at Dublin's Spooktacular 2014!
They were excited to meet Elsa.
We had a great night for trick-or-treating on Thursday night!  The kids were spoiled by our neighbors and they have full buckets of candy.  This was the first year that we didn't have to use a stroller or carry a child at one point...ah, the little things in life!
The Weatherwax family....Boo!
