Halloween 2016

In previous years I always enjoyed having a theme for the Weatherwax family Halloween costumes.  This year Emma and Kate wanted to choose their own costumes.  The kids each had a costume parade at school and a party.
Emma was a Pop Star with her BFF Ella.
Kate made an adorable 50's sock hop girl.
Sage was Leonardo the Ninja Turtle.
They looked adorable.
We went trick or treating with our friends and the kids had a blast running from house to house filling their pillow cases full of candy.
The kiddos also had a blast at the country club kids Halloween party.  Here is Kate with her friend Mia and their poodle balloons.  Kate was the runner-up in the limbo competition.
Emma and Ella took home "Best Dressed" honors for the party!
Sage and his buddy Max.

Happy 5th Birthday Sage!

Our "baby" is 5 years old!  He is full of energy and he would play sports 24/7 if he could. He is enjoying preschool and he has met some great friends.
For his birthday, I took Sage and his friend Scotty to Chuck E. Cheese to play.  I am not a big fan of Chuck E. Cheese but fortunately there was only one other family there so they had reign over the whole place.  They loved playing ski ball and video games.
We headed to Moe's for lunch.
We celebrated his birthday dinner at El Vaquero with both sets of grandparents.  Sage orders table-side made guacamole for dinner - Yummy.  Not your typical 5 year old meal - Haha!
Sage and his Star Wars cake!
At his 5 year appointment he was 46.4 pounds (83rd percentile) and his height was 43 inches (50th percentile).  He hadn't been to the doctor for a whole year!  He got 4 shots and did not shed one tear.  He's my tough little guy!

Favorites:
Food - brownies
Sport - Football
Team - Bengals
Drink - Sprite
Vacation Spot - Florida
Color - Blue
Holiday - Christmas
Future Career - Hockey Player
Best Friend - Scotty and Daddy
Song - "the Dab"

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

The family went to Leeds Farm in September with Emma and Kate's School.  It is a fun place and the kids enjoy running around with all of their friends!
I took videos of the girls on the zip lines but I am having trouble uploading videos today!
Sage went to Jacquemin Farm with Dominique and Wesley.
He also went to Shaw Farm in Milford with Grandma Zinser.
Its a lonely pic without his sisters and cousins!  Too bad they were at school!
His pose was so cute - I had to post it!

Dads and Donuts

Super Dad is right!  John went to the school's Dad's and Donuts event before school last week.  These pictures are great keepsakes through their elementary years.

Having a BALL in the Fall!

Most of you know that I am a huge sports fan and a jock at heart.  When the kids were babies, I couldn't wait for game days and soccer carpools.  I know that there are so many things that you can learn from sports aside from the game itself and I love tat their apart of a team.
After a 3 year hiatus from soccer, Kate returned to the field this year.  I think after watching big sister so much she was ready to get back out there!  So her first game where does she get put - in the Goal!  She was all smiles.  She has been playing very aggressively and she is hopeful to score her first goal very soon!
We were excited to have GG for a weekend of games!

Emma is in her second year with Ohio Premier soccer club.  She is playing in the U10 division this year because they changed the structure to reflect birth year rather than grade.  Jumping from U8 to U10 has been an adjustment with regards to the pace of play and foot skills - but she is quickly adapting and adjusting.  She has practice 3 nights a week and has games on the weekend (Yes she is only 8 years old!).
GG was planning on attending Emma's game on Sunday however the day before Emma had stomach pains, vomiting and fever.  I was fully convinced that she had appendicitis so we headed to the ED where fortunately an ultrasound proved me wrong.  It was better to be safe than sorry.

Buster is playing flag football for the first time.  He looks so cute  - especially with his mouth guard.  He loves grabbing flags and running around.  GG was able to witness Sage scoring a touchdown!

The girls attended a cheer clinic put on by the Dublin Coffman cheer squad and they performed during the JV game.  They had a great time.
