Go Bucks!

 O-H-I-O
Emma went to her first OSU Football game this past weekend with John.  The Buckeyes beat California.  Emma said that the best parts of the game were the band and the cheerleaders.  A special thank you to Uncle Don and Aunt Sharon for the tickets.
Since she was a baby, John always said how fun it would be to take Emma to her first game.
Check that one off the bucket list Daddy!

Sage gets his 1st tooth and curl

Finally, at 10 1/2 mos Sage's first tooth popped through.  I have a feeling that the rest will be coming through soon.  It was hard to capture a picture of the tooth, but I couldn't pass up this shot with his beautiful blue eyes
Sage's hair has been growing fast - check out his adorable curl (and cute freckle at the nape of his neck).  It's hard to believe our little boy will be turning 1 next month.  He is cruising along on the furniture and enjoying table foods.

Hailey heads to pre-school

Hailey Boo started preschool last week and we were able to see her get on the bus for the first time!  Having watched James get on the bus many times before, she never looked back!
Way to go Hailey! Have a great year.

Washington, DC

John and I had a getaway weekend to Washington DC earlier this month.  My dear friend Andrea's boyfriend Steve was planning on proposing and he asked that we come to surprise Andrea and to celebrate the big event.
Andrea said YES and Janet is expecting her first child in January - exciting times for everyone!
Steve and Andrea on their engagement night!

While Mom and Dad were away...

As much as a weekend away with John was anticipated, after a few hours I started to miss the kids.  The children enjoyed their mini-vacation at Grandma and Grandpa Weatherwax's while we were in DC.  Aunt Rebecca was home to help out as well.   On Saturday, Grandpa Weatherwax took Emma to her first "Timbits" soccer game with Dublin Soccer League.  The cutest part about their jersey's is that on the underside of her jersey it says "I just played and I'm thirsty" and you can go to any Tim Horton's after their games for a free drink.

 Sage enjoyed some Timbits too!
Kate leads the pack in G&G basement!  How cute is Sage bringing up the rear?  The kids also had fun watching the OSU football game, watching movies, having popcorn and a dinner out at Montgomery Inn.
Many thanks to Mom and Dad W and to Rebecca for their hospitality!

Happy Birthday GG!

 GG's 88th birthday is today!
GG and Sage ("her boy") deep in conversation.
GG continues to live independently and she remains the matriarch of the family.  We wish her another year of love, health, and happiness!
