She Found her thumb!

As a former thumb sucker - I've waited for the day that Emma could just comfort herself with her thumb. That day has arrived! She's very interested in her hands and examines them very closely! She likes her thumb - although the knuckle and first finger sometimes make their way into her mouth too! This was a picture I snapped on my phone. Have a great week!

Busy Week!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay in the updates! We've been busy! We have had a lot of visitors! Aunt Rebecca came to stay with us for Valentine's Day. Grandma and Grandpa Zinser came for a visit on Sunday. Grandpa Z brought Emma her pack of baseball cards! Great Grandma Crider "GG", Grandma and Grandpa Weatherwax, Bec, and Great Great Aunt Sally came for dinner on Monday after their trip to Boston. Emma got some new shades from G&G Weatherwax! Needless to say, Emma had plenty of hugs and kisses!

On Tuesday - we had Emma's 3 month pictures. She had plenty of smiles to go around. I'll post her proofs once they're available. But the BIG NEWS is that Emma rolled over! She rolled from her tummy to her back. She didn't know what to do when she landed on her back. Very exciting! She hasn't had a repeat performance yet - but that will come in time I guess.

Let it Snow...

It is awesome having Tuesdays off - especially with the weather we had today. We had arts and craft time! Our friends, the Gonsoirs gave us a shadowbox to display Emma's handprint with a darling poem. Next time I'll probably take on this project a little earlier since Emma likes to keep her hands in a fist! As I went to get a towel to clean up - she got her face and shirt! Can't you tell by her expression she had a blast! :) Ha ha ha!

We Survived!

Well, we all survived my first few days back at work. It was a very emotional time, but with the help of our Moms - everything went smoothly. Everyone's phone calls, cards, e-mails, and prayers were much appreciated. Thanks for thinking of us!

Emma will start "school" tomorrow at Enchanted Care with her buddy Parker.

3 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that Emma is almost 3 months old. The time has flown by and has been such an exciting time! Her development has been remarkable over the past few weeks - she's developing quite the personality! She loves to talk and smile. We have been blessed!

I am getting ready to head back to work on Wednesday- a day I have been dreading since before she was born. Please keep us in your prayers as we make this transition. Grandmas Weatherwax and Zinser are coming up to help with the transition.
