2016 Wrap-up

WOW - Another year has flown by and 2017 is upon us!  Our lives continue to be fun, hectic, scattered, and we are constantly humbled by our blessings.  We had a wonderful year of traveling with both the Weatherwax and Zinser families.  The kiddos continue to blossom into wonderful "little people" and their independence is growing.  Many thanks to those that support us as parents, friends, children, siblings and employees.  Cheers to a wonderful and healthy 2017 for everyone!  Can't wait to see what the future holds for all of us.

Thanks for following along with our blog!

Our Christmas

The kiddos woke up around 8:15 on Christmas morning and we enjoyed a lazy day at home!
Cookies and Milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer!
 An art set for Emma.
We framed a piece of artwork for John.
Emma and Kate received a few items from their favorite place Justice.
It was a Star Wars themed Christmas for Sage!
Storm Trooper Sage with his Marshmallow gun!
Emptying stockings is so much fun!

We are blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends, especially during the holidays and that in itself is the best gift of all!

Weatherwax Christmas

We spend Christmas Eve with the Weatherwax family.  We went to mass at 4pm (had to arrive around 2pm to secure our seats) and then we headed home for an appetizer dinner and presents!
The girls received cozy robes this year!  Perfect for cold winter days.
Grandma and Grandpa bought the girls new bedding sets for their new rooms.  Kate is doing black, white and teal and Emma is doing a brightly colored floral pattern.
Fuzzy chair for reading or watching the iPad.
Grandpa made Sage a custom wooden bat with a special message.
 Our family!
The Monday after Christmas we headed to N. Canton to visit with the LePage family and GG.

Zinser Christmas

It's always fun going "home" for the holidays.  We headed to Cincinnati for the Thursday and Friday before Christmas.
The kids are well trained now.  They know they have to get their pictures taken before we start on the Christmas stockings and presents.  They are almost getting too big for their assigned step.
The whole family!
My Dad is learning the Ukulele.  The instrument he initially bought was not the correct one, so he gave it to Emma.  Papa taught her a few chords for starters.
Sage put on Emma's old Elf pajamas for the holidays!

Sage's Nativity Program

There is something special about Christmas holiday shows, especially with preschoolers.  Sage was pretty shy at home when it came to singing his Christmas songs but he did a great job at his Nativity program.

He makes an adorable donkey, doesn't he?

Posing for a picture for Mom!

Gingerbread House!

My dad was able to join Kate for the annual First Grade Gingerbread House making party.  Since his retirement he always enjoys any opportunity to go to school.
Looking pretty sweet Kate and Papa!

Hoopin it up!

This was Kate's first year playing basketball.  I must be honest in saying that Kate definitely surprised me with her scrappiness and determination - especially on defense.  I love the fact that she's a lefty.  We enjoyed watching her play on Saturdays.  They would practice for 30 minutes and then have three-on-three games afterwards.    Her season high was 6 points in one game.  Sage was Kate's biggest fan - you can hear him on the video "Go Kate, Go Kate, Go Kate!"

Emma is mid-season for her 2nd year in basketball,  She is blessed to have quite a height advantage over her peers.  Third grade is when they start playing full-court and I absolutely love it.  She is aggressive and loves to take it to the hoop.  Her best friend Ella is on the team and they are quite the duo.   John and Ella's dad are the coaches again.
Emma also played indoor soccer in November and December.  She will start another indoor league in January.

Thanksgiving 2016

Uncle Jim and Aunt Trudy along with the Kenter's traveled from New Orleans to spend Thanksgiving with us.  The girls love being together.  Caroline and Reese call us the "Ohio cousins."  The girls had mini-makeovers at Sweet and Sassy.  They love make-up, smelly stuff and glitter!

We went to a family bingo event the night before Thanksgiving.  We had a group of 15 and we only won one game - way to go Rebecca!
Aunt Bec taught the kiddos L-C-R while the feast was being prepared!
 Lookin' good boys!
We traveled to my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner with my Mom's family so yes, we completely at two full meals on Thanksgiving! Gobble Gobble!
And I cannot think of a better way to conclude the holiday weekend than with a fantastic OSU victory over "THAT" team from up North!  Go Bucks!
