Indian Princess - Spring Camp Out 2016

The "Dolphin Stream" tribe had their spring camp out at Camp Kern. I love how John and the girls have their special events together.
Fearless Kate climbed all the way to the top and rang the bell!

Spring Sports

This Spring, Sage played indoor soccer and T ball.  He loves playing baseball and he actually understands the game pretty well considering he is 4.  He learned to "take a knee" this season.
Sage got a trophy at the end of the season.

The club soccer organization is rearranging age divisions for the 2016-17 season.  Unfortunately, Emma will be moving up to the U10 division and her two BFFs Regan and Ella will move to U9.  Ella said it best - "We'll play together in high school or college."  The girls played very hard all year long.  Despite not winning many games, the girls' skills have greatly improved.
Emma played lacrosse again and had fun.  She had a couple goals this season.
And the biggest cheerleader Ever....Kate - she is such a trooper going to all of Emma and Sage's games.  We will be celebrating Kate's dance recital in a couple weeks!

Emma's First Communion

First Communion was a very special day for Emma.  She has prepared all year for this sacrament.  The evening before Emma spent some time with GG and they read scriptures together.
Kate wrote a letter to Emma - had to include this.
We had fun shopping for Emma's dress.  We bought a few from department stores, but in the end we found her dress at none other than, Amazon.com!  She definitely wanted to wear a veil.  She looked beautiful.
The back of her dress.
On, May 7, there were 93 First Communicants at Emma's mass at 10am and there were 95 students at the 2pm mass.  Each family was allotted 14 tickets - which was perfect for the Zinser/Weatherwax clan.  We were so excited to have everyone together for the day.

Following the ceremony, we headed home for a party with our family and friends.  We appreciate family and friends who drove to Columbus to join us for Emma's First Communion.  We all made very special memories that day.

Peyton the 99 cent fish!

Last June on a rainy day, Grandma and Grandpa Weatherwax got the kids goldfish.  Emma and Kate's passed within the first couple months.  Well 10 months later, Sage's fish Peyton is still living.  Before Spring Break I gave him a little extra fish food and we were in great awe that he lived without being fed for a whole week.  The energizer fishy!

Brett & Sarah's Wedding

We are blessed to have the best neighbors ever, Jim and Mickie.  Brett - "My neighbors kid" as I call him married Sarah on April 23, 2016.  Emma, Kate and Sage were asked to be "flower people" for the special day.  Above is a picture from the rehearsal dinner.
When it came to the wedding, Sarah spared nothing!  From activity bags, TOMS for the reception, shirts for pre-wedding day festivities and beautiful decorated hangers to transport their dresses, the kids were taken care of.  Emma and Kate loved getting their nails, hair and make-up done.
 Beautiful ladies!

Everyone had a blast at the reception.  The Conspiracy Band provided entertainment and they were amazing.  Emma and Kate joined them for a few songs!

Meet my godson...Walter Gormley

Walter Francis Gormley was baptized on April 9th and I was given the privilege of being his godmother.  Andrea and I have been great friends since college and this is a great honor.

We made a quick drive through Washington DC to see a few monumenets.

Easter 2016

We arrived home from Spring Break on Easter Morning and then bunny left some goodies for the kids!
It was a Converse and PJs themed basket this year.  The kids had an Easter egg hunt.
We headed to the Weatherwax's for Easter dinner and the great search for the 'Golden Egg.'  Grandma Weatherwax has a golden egg and there is money inside.  Kate was the winner in 2015.
 And....a repeat winner in 2016!
Within seconds of Kate's victory, Emma's excitement turned to tears...
And Sage stomped up the stairs and cried.

Man - the change in emotions was amazing in only a matter of seconds!

We celebrated Easter with the Zinser's a couple weeks later.  Grandma Weatherwax gave Grandma Zinser a golden egg too - Emma was the inagural winner at the Zinser Easter celebration.  No tears shed this time as I had the "there is only one winner" talk and "if you don't win this year, maybe next year will be your year."
