Taylor Swift!

Santa brought us tickets to see Taylor Swift on September 18th. Since it was the girls first "pop concert" we wanted to make the most of it!  The Rish and Mallue families joined us for a wonderful evening out!  We decided to make our own t-shirts and each girl chose a saying from their favorite Taylor Swift song!
We even brought along a selfie stick!
Our original plans included being picked up at 4:30 by a charter bus with dinner at Buca di Beppo at 5:15pm.  Well, our bus showed up over an hour late so we swung by Donatos for pizza and we ate on the bus.  Long story short - the bus never returned to pick us up and we took cabs back to Dublin and we are working on getting a refund (and tracking down our coolers, snacks and Jambox speakers)!
Taylor played for 2+ hours and was joined by special guest Echosmith on stage to sing "Cool Kids."  Each seat came with a bracelet that would flash a different color light based on which song she was playing.  The girls danced and sang the night away!
Uncle Jim found tickets for Kim and Hailey on Friday afternoon so we were excited to hang out with them as well.

Take me out to the ball game!

Sage loves baseball and he is excited to play T-ball this fall.

Home Run Baby!!

Sage received the sportsmanship award after yesterday's game.

Sage's First day of Preschool!

It is hard to believe that my baby is ready to go to school!  Sage will be in the "Little Lambs" preschool class at a local church, Prince of Peace.  He will attend Mondays and Wednesdays.  He is so excited!
 Such a big boy!
Sage with his proud big sisters
We went to Tim Horton's and Sage gave me the stink eye because he was sick of getting his picture taken.  He's still so cute even with a goofy face!
Have a great year buddy!  We love you!

Emma and Kate's First Day of School!

Mrs. Nicastro gave each student an envelope which had "Jitter Glitter" in it and they were supposed to put it underneath their pillow for the first day of school.
Good Morning Kate, Happy First Day of School!
Big Sister in the top bunk wanted to sleep in just a little longer!
Donuts...The breakfast of champions on the first day of school!
Emma was quite concerned about her outfit and her hairstyle for the first day of school.  Oh my she is growing up way to fast!
Kate will be a future "Class of 2028" graduate!
We love to celebrate the first day of school.  The girls are so blessed to have their grandparents present to send them off with well wishes!
 Sisterly love!
I love this picture.  Kate is excited and you can see how proud Daddy is in the reflection of the glass.
Kate's favorite part about the first day was recess and she said there were some really "noisy boys" in her class.

Later in the evening on the first day of school Emma was talking with my niece Hailey (also in 2nd grade) on the phone and said "Yeah, well, it was just a really long day you know.  Second grade is SO much different than first grade."  It was so cute!

Back To School 2015

They day before school is always an exciting day!  We carried on our tradition of getting our nails done, having lunch, then heading to school for "Meet the teacher" day.
Emma and Kate will attend the same school, Deer Run Elementary.
Emma is in 2nd grade with Mrs. Hines.
Kate is in Kindergarten with Mrs. Nicastro.

The "last supper" before school was spent with both sets of grandparents at Montgomery Inn (Kate's choice).

Summer Fun Wrap-up 2015

I don't know who's luckier - the children or the parents when it comes to our nanny Dominique.  All summer long, the children have had fun activities.   She is just amazing and we are so blessed to have her.  The kids made tie-dyed shirts and they looked groovy!
The kids went to the splash park in Powell.
Slip and slide in our front yard.
Kate and I celebrated National Middle Child Day with some ice cream on August 12th.
Sage is getting ready for Bengals Football (thanks to fun face painters at the pool).
We visited with an orthodontist this summer for Emma - braces are in our future.
Papa, Grandma, James and Hailey joined us for a day at Zoombezi Bay.
Grandma W and Dominique took the kids to the Ohio State Fair.  Sage's pig won the pig race!
The Zinser fam gathered for an Indians game in July.
Check out Sage's face!
The Weatherwax fam gathered for a Reds game in August.
Grandma Weatherwax took the girls to see Idina Menzel at the Palace Theater.
The kiddos had their 2nd annual campout with the Butler girls next door.
Our adorable little golfer!  This summer has been a blast!
