2.5 years and Mulch "oh my gosh!"

Sage had his 2 1/2 year appointment last week.  He is 34.8 pounds (90%-tile) and 36.5 inches (67%-tile).  We hadn't been to the doctor since October so that was great - lets hope for the same health for the next 6th months :)
Sage is chatting up a storm.  He loves to help John in the yard and he even has his own tools.  He still loves to play outside.  He sleeps around 11 hours/night and takes a good solid 2 hour nap in the afternoons.  He likes to eat salads, pizza and french fries (that's well balanced right?).
Sage loves anything to do with trucks or John Deere.  Here is a video of Sage's reaction when the truck pulled in to dump our mulch.

Mother's Day 2014

Dominique and the kids made me beautiful rainbow cupcakes and homemade cards.
Both of the girls' schools had a fun Mother's Day events.

On Mother's Day we had Brunch with the Weatherwax's and Dinner with the Zinser's.  As a mother, I am blessed with beautiful healthy children, a wonderful husband and a very supportive family. It was a fun day.

Fire Truck Obsession!

.
Nearly every Monday morning Sage and I head to Kroger to get our groceries.  He is obsessed with the firetruck cart, looking for firemen shopping in the store and hunting for the firetruck parked outside.
Last week as we were walking in, we stopped to say hello to a fireman.  He hopped out of his truck and talked with Sage and even let him sit in the truck.
Kate and Sage went to the Hilliard Fire Department to meet my friend from work, Nate.  The kids got to tour an ambulance, a firetruck and the firehouse.
How adorable is this?! Thank you, Nate we had a great visit!

Spring Soccer 2014

Emma and Kate
This beautiful smile makes it look as though Kate loves soccer...however, she wasn't a big fan of the sport for the second season in a row.   She cheered when games were cancelled and snack time was her favorite part of the game.
This picture is hilarious and I couldn't help but post it!  Thank you to our neighbor Gail who came to support the girls and snapped some fantastic action shots!
 The girls biggest fan!
Emma LOVES soccer.  She was lucky to land on a team with great coaches and wonderful little girls.  We hope that they can stay together for future seasons.

Easter Weekend 2014

We had an eggcellent Easter!  On Saturday Grandma and Papa joined us at the girls soccer games, then the Nichols headed up for an early Easter celebration.
 Say Cheese!
Sage is slightly obsessed with John Deere and garden tools.  The Easter bunny brought him a new weed whacker and he was a happy boy!
The bunny brought the girls new pool gear!  We can't wait for the pool to open.
On Easter, we headed to Aunt Anna and Uncle Keith's in North Canton.  Sage was excited to ride with Uncle Keith on his tractor and he even got an opportunity to drive.  They also had an Easter egg hunt.
Kate definitely raced around collecting her eggs.  When Emma stated "Kate, you have more eggs than I do."  Kate replied, "That's OK Emma, its all about having fun."  Adorable.
Sage takes a break and hangs out with GG and his blankie for a little bit.
Happy Easter 2014!

Easter Egg Hunt

Our community Easter Egg hunt was today.  It was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine.

Sage waiting to get started.
Kate emptying out her eggs.
Emma and our neighbor Grace.  These girls are the scooter queens of the neighborhood!

Spring Break - Chicago

We headed to Chicago for a little get-away as a family during Spring Break.  We love Chicago.  We went to Shedd's Aquarium, shopping at American Girl and swimming at the hotel pool.  The following day we drove to the suburbs to visit with my friends from PA school Kristen and Kate, along with their families.
We went to a great place called "Make-a-Messterpiece" where the kiddos made art with bubbles, made a colorful edible treat of popcorn with blue icing and sprinkles, and did an experiment with baking soda, vinegar and a balloon.
We also headed to the Kohl Children's Museum where the girls dressed up and ran a clinic in the "Doctor's Office."  Maybe 3 future PA's?  Sage enjoyed working on the crane.
Our cousin Katey is attending medical school in Chicago so we enjoyed having breakfast with her before we headed back to home sweet home.
