Back to work!

12 weeks already! I headed back to work this past week on Wednesday. Sometimes the anticipation is worse than the day itself. It was an emotional day, and it was nice to get the first week behind us. I had an amazing time home with my children, and having 3 children has been more fulfilling than I had ever imagined. When you have three children you can get the true essence of family, meaning that you go from "one on one" defense to "zone" defense and you have to work together. I am so lucky to have John as my teammate. Emma and Kate have been wonderful little helpers, and they adore Sage. I also have to thank both of our families for their help, and my opportunities to have "breaks" to get caught up!
The kids will be going to school 3 days a week. Sage's teachers are the same wonderful ladies who took care of Kate, and and we couldn't ask for more caring people. Emma and Kate's teachers walked the girls to the infant room to visit their little brother throughout the day. That was so comforting to me. I also know that the girls' teachers went in to hold him during their breaks - how spoiled are we?! Sage hasn't wanted to sleep a lot at school thus far with all the action around him, but I'm sure a routine is just around the corner. Bless his heart - he started sleeping through the night last weekend. We were getting up 1-2 times a night, then he cranked out 12 hours in a row and hasn't turned back (thank goodness!!!).

Kate's big update is that she is almost fully potty trained! We quickly progressed from panties over our diaper to panties alone. She is very proud of herself and loves her Dora undies! Yeah! Again, a favor of the Lord with perfect timing for everything to come together.
The girls are taking a dance/gymnastics class this winter. They tried out the balance beam and trampolines last week! I'll try to take a video at some point because its adorable!

Friends!

There is nothing better than having wonderful friends! During this past month, we have had the opportunity to have many gatherings with those special people in our lives. Above, we headed to Laura's. Whitney, Laura, and Jojo - my college friends with the kiddos. We all met Freshman year at Founders Hall.
More ONU friends gathered at our house last week - we were out numbered! Mindy, myself, Tara, Trina, Jen, Sarah, and Susan.

My work colleagues and their spouses came for a holiday party. I am very grateful for these ladies! I'll be returning back to work Jan 11th. Susan, Tina, Karen, Gina, Jeanette, Diane, Michelle and I - Neurology PAs and CNPs. We've doubled in size in just one year!

My HS friends came to my parents house for a little reunion. Eric, Ben, Piper, Johnny, Lisa and I - Class of 1998!

Weatherwax Christmas 2011

On Christmas day, we headed to Mom and Dad Weatherwax's. Emma was excited to hear that Santa left her a special gift at Grandma and Grandpa's. A bell from his sleigh - just like in the Polar Express.
Great Grandma and Grandpa joined us for the day as well.

The girls have LOVED their doctor kits and cart. They set up clinic in the sunroom and give out a lot of shots!

The girls also got big wheels for the basement at Grandma and Grandpa's!

Our Christmas 2011

After a couple days with their cousins, the girls were wiped out! The girls wanted to sleep together because it was a special day. I couldn't resist the "touchdown" sleeping picture!

Santa was very good to all of us this year

The girls got a playhouse for the basement.

What an amazing holiday break! We love being with our families, sharing stories, having many laughs, eating wonderful meals and watching the excitement in the children. We are so blessed!
