Kate's 5th Birthday Party

We had a colorful party for Kate's 5th birthday!  It was fun to prepare fruit loop necklaces, colored ice cubes for their drinks and decorate.
We had a beautiful day and we were able to celebrate outside.
With help from a local art studio, Art with Anna, the children painted and created flower collages which made for a fun take home favor.
 Kate and her masterpiece!
 The gang and their artwork.
 Yummy!!!
Happy Birthday to our sweet Kate!  In this past year, you've really grown up into a beautiful young lady.  Yes, your jokes, laughing and spunk keep us on our toes every day - but we couldn't love you more!  You were meant to be our sweet middle child, in fact, you own that title.  You are a great big sister to Sage and a fun loving little sister to Emma.  We are so proud of you and you will continue to bless everyone that you come in contact with.
At the end of the day, the cousins had a balloon release of a couple dozen balloons.  The kids cheered the balloons on....and a majority of them got stuck in the trees of our back yard...oops.  So now we have deflated balloons and string hanging from our trees like Mardi Gras! Oh well, its a nice reminder of our fun day!

Summer Piano Recital - Kate's First Performance

Kate started taking piano in January 2014.  She enjoys her lessons and was excited to have her first recital on June 24th.  The recital was held in a private home which makes for a comfortable performing environment.  Kate played 3 songs and she had fun.  Emma played 3 songs and one duet.  We are very proud of the girls.

Happy Father's Day!

Because I attended a conference in Florida this past weekend, we celebrated Father's Day a little early in our household. The girls helped me make dinner for daddy and it was a fun night.
On Sunday, John and the kids enjoyed lunch with the Weatherwax's.  The kids enjoyed their traditional ride on the golf cart.  Afterwards, John played golf with his Dad.
Grandpa W and the kiddos.
John met my parents at the Outlets (our halfway spot) with surprise guest Hailey for brunch.

Grandparents Rule!

Our kiddos are very lucky to have such fun Grandparents!  Grandma and Grandpa Weatherwax took the kids out for an afternoon of golf at the Memorial Tournament. They got their hats autographed.
The kiddos went to Cincinnati during the golf tournament, so John and I could entertain our friends.  The kids went on the "Ride the Ducks" Newport tour which is a land/water tour.
Kate was able to get inside of a bubble and play!
Papa and Grandma Z took the kids to a festival for some fun!
This past weekend, Grandma and Grandpa W took the kiddos to the annual Dayton Dragons game.  Kate got her picture taken with the mascot Heater.

Emma's Last Day of Kindergarten!

Emma's field day was amazing with multiple bounce houses and inflatables, a sno-cone truck, water games, and a sound system that played Kidz Bop!   Here are the 5 girls of Emma's AM Kindergarten class: Sophie, Tessa, Camille, Emma and Aami.
They are such a close knit group of young ladies!
I had to include the shot of Emma being the anchor for the Tug-of-war!
Emma was so excited for her bus ride home, they got to sit in the last row of the bus!
"It was awesome Mom."   It is amazing how much Emma learned this past year in Kindergarten.  Her reading, writing, communication, maturity - all had incredible growth.
Kudos to a fantastic teacher Mrs. Nicastro.
We celebrated the end of the school year with the trip to the pool!  Now we're ready for summer!

Memorial Day 2014

John and the kiddos headed to Worthington to meet Ms. Dominique and her family for the Memorial Day parade followed by a picnic.  Everyone looked so patriotic and its always a special day to remember those who have passed while serving in the Country's armed forces.
Here is the 2014 Annual Memorial Tournament Picture!

Kate's Preschool Graduation

Kate had a wonderful year in the Frog Class at Northwest Presbyterian Christian Academy for preschool.  She had wonderful teachers - Miss Beth and Miss Caroline.  It was a great experience and Kate learned a lot.  They worked on writing, counting, site words and problem solving  She also matured and developed great relationships with her classmates.

The preschool graduation on May 23rd was very special.   The children sang beautiful songs including Jesus Loves Me, God is so Good and a song reciting Psalm 100.
Above is a video of Kate singing.  Enjoy!

Next year, Kate will be attending Kindergarten at a local church, Prince of Peace.  She will then start in the Dublin School system in the 2015-2016 calendar year.
