St. Patrick's Day 2014

 As you may know, St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays (thus, my children enjoy the day as well).  Living in Chicago for a couple of years definitely made March 17th a special date to celebrate.  I worked this past weekend, but John took the kiddos to the Dublin St. Patrick's Day parade.  The kids hung out with their friends Ian (above) and Dane. Later we joined the Weatherwax's for a delicious dinner at Montgomery Inn...with a fantastic green beer!

Snow in March!!

 Finally, some snow with some non-freezing temperatures!  We put the Frozen soundtrack on and we played outside.

 We went to the park and Emma enjoyed riding the sled down the slide.

 Kate liked being pulled in the sled.

Sage was trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue, he helped Daddy shovel the driveway and he liked using his garden tools in the snow. 

Hotel Party with the Spicers!

 We met the Spicer's in Mansfield for an overnight to celebrate Laura's birthday. The kids had a lot of fun together - enjoying the pool, hot tub, splash zone and water slide.   

If you're ever traveling North on I-71 and you're hungry, right off the exit on Ohio 97 is Buckeye Express Diner.  The food was delicious and it is an old train turned turned restaurant.  

Is It Spring Yet?

 WOW, what a cold, snowy and icy winter! It has almost been too cold to go outside and play.  This week, temperatures are FINALLY warming up (and yes, 40 degrees is warm).  Today, Dominique took the kiddos outside and snapped some great pictures.  The girls were singing "Let it Go" from Disney's Frozen and throwing snowballs.

 

Sage received garden tools for Christmas and they have turned into fantastic snow tools.  He has enjoyed shoveling and raking the snow.  I fear that I will never be able to get Sage into the house once Spring breaks - he loves being outside.

A perfect day for a cruise around the neighborhood!

Valetine's Day 2014

  

Here are the kiddos in their Valentine's outfits.  Kate chose Hello Kitty valentines and Emma chose Princess valentines.  They each had a party at school and had a fun day.  Sage's V-day surprise came one day earlier at story time at the library when he was "attacked" by a little girl who pushed him down on the ground and started kissing him - Dominique said it was hilarious!  I guess I bought Sage the perfect shirt for 2014. 

On Valentine's night, Grandma and Grandpa Weatherwax hosted a slumber party for the girls and some of their friends.  They made pizzas, decorated cookies, danced, played, stayed up until 11pm and made wonderful memories. 

Meanwhile, the boys and I headed to El Vaquero for a little fiesta!

Winter Wrap Up....

 The girls are doing winter gymnastics at Integrity Gym.

Kate started taking piano in January. 

 The Nichols fam joined us a couple weeks ago for the weekend.  The girls (and Sage) went to Disney on Ice and the boys went to the OSU basketball game.  Emma is a little bigger than the dress up gowns, so Aunt Kim found fun t-shirts for everyone!

Emma had to make her own instrument a couple weeks ago.  As a parent, it is hard not to interject with ideas and thoughts, I mean - how fun is making a homemade instrument?  But Emma came up with the idea herself with the help of pinterest and a few websites that Mrs. Nicastro sent.  Here is the finished product.
