Museums

Yes, I know - it's been far too long since I've posted! We were out of town 5 weekends in a row starting the last weekend in February and all of March. We went to Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Nashville, Dayton, then back to Cincinnati. We had a wonderful time spending time with our family. Thank goodness for John's DVD player in his car! The kids are wonderful travelers!
We visited Aunt Bec in Indianapolis and we went to the Children's Museum. Emma loved the Carousel and enjoyed maneuvering this contraption on tracks! There was a Dinosaur and Barbie exhibit. Seeing the Barbie exhibit reminded me that I have TONS of boxes of barbies in my parents attic for the girls some day! It will be fun to go back to the museum in few years when the kids are a little older.
In Cincinnati, we met Meghan and her son Jack at Union Terminal Children's Museum. It was a great place to let the little ones run around for a couple of hours. The kids loved the water table and the sand table. Both museums were fun, but I would have to say that Cincinnati was geared a little more towards toddlers. Kate enjoyed both museums via the stroller :)

Chub-a-dub-dub!

Every night Kate has a blast kicking and splashing in the bath! I've been meaning to take a video to share & tonight I remembered to "censor" her! Uhh...baby water aerobics???

Tubes - Perfect timing!

Kate's tubes were placed on Friday. The doctor said both of her ears were very infected (unknown to us) and the procedure went well. She was a little crabby as the sedation wore off, but by late afternoon, she was back to her cute self. How adorable is this little hospital gown and socks?

We all scream for snow ice cream!

Yes...Snow ice cream! If you like homemade ice cream, you'll love it. Just step out side and get a nice heap of that fluffy snow, add milk, vanilla, and sugar. Mix and serve. Emma had a few sprinkles on hers! Thanks Mom for reminding us of this delicious treat!

Isn't this beautiful?

h'EAR we go again...

Yes, sweet Kate will be getting tubes on February 19th. She had a few ear infections that required multiple antibiotics. Emma tolerated the procedure very well, and we'll hope for the same for Kate. I'll keep you posted. Tonight we had a belated birthday party for John with my side of the family. The kids were excited to sing Happy Birthday and to help John blow out the candles!
