Smiles and splashes!

Here is Kathryn at 6 weeks!
Emma running around the splash park! She loved it!

Lakeside, Ohio

We enjoyed a wonderful "ladies only" trip to Lakeside, Ohio. Emma enjoyed playing at the park, bathtime and bubbles with Grandma, and swimming in the kiddie pool. She definitely kept us entertained! We're trying to teach Kate how to suck her thumb. Kate loved being with GG, her namesake. We thank the LePage's for their hospitality!

Update on Kate!

Hello! Just thought I'd give an update on Miss Kate! She's growing like a weed and changing in front of our eyes! We headed to the doctor this past week for her 1 mos appt - Here's the scoop: Weight 10lbs 12oz (90%) and 20 inches (50%). This is a cell phone pic from the doctors office :)

Emma's a big girl!

Emma's first Merry-go-round ride at the Zoo.
Everyone said how big Emma would look when the baby came home, how true that is! She continues to be a big helper with Kate! Over the past week, Emma has transitioned into her big girl bed, and she's done wonderful! Its nice to crawl into bed with her and read a story to her before she falls asleep. Emma is working on her A,B,C's and loves to pray at dinner - too cute!

Catching up!

The days seem to fly by in the Weatherwax household! Kathryn has been changing by the day. She continues to be a great sleeper, a content baby and very precious. Kate also enjoyed her first trip to the zoo last week and I took the girls to Target on Tuesday (yes, by myself - yeah!). Kate will be 1 mos this weekend, which is hard to believe! Aunt Bec captured one of Kate's first smiles!

I wanted to share these - John took these precious pictures when Kate was 10 days old. Our favorite picture is the last one :) Emma and Kate had enough!

First Walk and 4th of July

Our first walk outside!

Our transition to a family of four has been a smooth one. First of all, our Moms have helped tremendously! They were here for over a week helping me with every aspect of motherhood! I can't thank them enough! Kathryn is also quite the sleeper. I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but we are getting 5 hour stretches at night! She is just a content baby, and so peaceful and precious. Her 1 week appointment went well. She was back to birth weight and we'll return for our 1 mos check up later this month.

Emma has been a very proud big sister. She has taken on some new talents - like standing and jumping on furniture, as well as throwing objects across the room. She has quite an arm, so we have to watch for flying objects at her little sister! We're still working on the "gentle" factor with her. She tries to give Kate snacks too!

We ventured out to the Hilliard 4th of July Parade. The girls looked too cute!

All of the estrogen in the house makes Daddy tired!
