Orlando, Florida

We spent about a week in Florida with John's family last week. The weather was nice compared to Ohio, although 50s and low 60s were a little chilly to Floridians. Emma enjoyed her first airplane ride and she did pretty well with the 2 hour flight. We were glad we had a DVD player to watch Baby Signing Time and she ate TONS of goldfish! Emma splashed and swam in the hot tub because the pool was a little chilly. John's friends Kurt, Derek and Shannon joined us on the trip too. The boys enjoyed a few rounds of golf. We passed on the Disney experience this trip - but I'm sure we'll be back! Enjoy some pictures of the week!

Happy 30th Dada!

John turned 30 today! We enjoyed a nice quiet day at home, and then John and I went on a date tonight, yes - a date! Our celebration will continue this weekend as we head to Orlando on Friday!

We also took advantage of the "dusting" of snow (somehow a dusting = 3 inches). Emma was finally able to use the sled she got for Christmas. She looked like the little pink marshmallow lady in her snow pants!

Mommy's Little Helper

A picture of Emma and GG sharing a famous "party dish."

After our company left, Emma helped clean up the house! Where does she learn this stuff?

First Swim Class!

Emma tuned 14 mos today and we had her first swim class tonight! For all the splashing she does in the bath, we thought this would be perfect for her, and it was! She floated on her back and tummy. She attempted to blow bubbles in which she ended up swallowing some water. Emma sported her new swimsuit from Target (size 3T)!! She even went under the water - one, two, three...

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas! Emma loved opening gifts! She would say "ohhh" as she saw packages come her way! Needless to say, Emma had plenty to open. New clothes, new toys, new books...now I'm asking for some new storage! Here are some pictures of our long weekend!
The Zinser Family

The Weatherwax Family I love opening presents!

Emma's bouncing pony - she actually got one from each of her aunts! Great minds think alike!

Hailey and Emma in their new big girl chairs!

Another Christmas tradition includes having some of my HS friends over on Christmas night. The best gift that John and I could have ever asked for!

Building confidence!

Emma has been practicing taking a few steps since early October. In the past few weeks, she's really started to take off. So now her movement repertoire includes scooting, crawling and now walking! She's getting pretty good at turning corners, although she still resembles a drunken sailor at times!

We hope everyone has safe and blessed holiday! Merry Christmas!

No No No...Ho Ho Ho!!!

Emma is a very happy girl. Not many things make her cry...hunger, extreme fatigue, and now Santa! We headed to the school's holiday open house and Santa was there. As we were approaching him, she was waving, smiling, and saying "ho ho ho." But as soon as we got within 3 feet - watch out - she was terrified. We snapped a quick picture, and went on our merry way.

Maybe next year?
