Flower Girls!

My cousin Johnny and his fiancee Audra were married on June 28th.  It was a fun weekend and the girls loved being a part of the wedding party.  Above is a picture from the rehearsal.
The girls got dolled up with hair and make-up appointments.
Something about seeing your daughter in a white gown is just breath-taking.  I'm sure I'll blink my eye and they will be trying on wedding gowns...Oh my!
Here is an action shot of the girls going down the isle.
Congratulation to Mr. and Mrs. John Drennan!
The wedding and reception was held at the Bell Event Center in Cincinnati and it was beautiful.

Kim took this picture and had to share it with everyone!

Kate's 6th Birthday!

Our sweet Kate turned 6!  Kate is a sweetheart and she is the perfect little sister to Emma and the perfect big sister to Sage.  She is our middle child and totally owns that position!
Kate chose to go to Montgomery Inn the night before her birthday and she wanted a Frozen chocolate cake.  She loves shopkins, surprise eggs, legos, blind bags and Orbeez (thank you YouTube as she loves to watch toy reviews/tutorial videos).
The balloon fairy came for a visit.
Getting the girls' ears pierced has been the talk of the town for Kate's birthday.  We headed to Claire's at the mall and the girls chose pearls.

Following the ear piercing, Kate went to Build-a-Bear for a quick shopping trip (unfortunately, we had to leave for our nail appointments, but Kate will return in the near future to build her Princess Anna bear).
To complete the beautification day, we all had manicures.  The girls chose red with a gold party finger in preparation to be flower girls in Johnny and Audra's wedding!
Looking pretty!
And thank you Daddy for working so we could all have a fun day :)

Clippers Baseball

We went to the clippers game this past Sunday with the Weatherwax's.  Fortunately the rain held off and Sage was lucky enough to get another ball (Big Sis Kate snagged a ball from a player in the dugout!)
A cute pic of the boys!

Summer Piano Recital

Emma and Kate had their summer piano recitals last night.
Oh and Kate lost her other top tooth this week!

Kate's Dance Recital

Kate had her very first "Big Show" recital today with Dublin Dance Centre & Gymnastics.  The show  theme was Mary Poppins and Kate's song was "Pocket Change" as part of the bank scene.  Kate has had weekly ballet/hip-hop classes since September and she has worked very hard.  She was lucky to have a small class and a fun teacher.  It was an amazing day to celebrate Kate today!
Kate was beaming during her performance!  I loved seeing her confidence on stage.
Her cheering section consisted of her grandparents, Aunt Rebecca, Hailey, Emma, Sage and two proud parents!
Love these action photos!

Kate was showered with flowers for a wonderful performance!
Kate's number one fans!  We are so proud of you, Kate!
Enjoy the show!  Kate is on the right.
(by the way, this 2 minutes of fame was completely worth sitting through a 2.5 hour show!  haha)

Sage goes to the Dentist!

Sage had his teeth cleaned yesterday for the first time (he was probably due to go 6+ months ago, oops gotta love the 3rd child syndrome)!  He was excited to ride up on the chair and wear some cool Superman shades!
I love the relaxed leg cross while Lynette our favorite hygienist cleaned his teeth!  He chose watermelon as his flavor.
Everyone was all smiles with no cavities!  Yeah!  Emma needs to see an orthodontist as she is a candidate for early braces...ugh!
Sage shows off his treat bag with the big bear!

The Memorial Tournament 2015

Here is the 2015 photo of John with the kiddos in front of the scoreboard!
We are blessed to entertain many of our friends and family during this week-long event!  We are appreciative to Grandma and Grandma Weatherwax for their hospitality during the tournament at their lovely home.
Future Tournament Winner?
The kids went to Kings Island with Grandma, Papa and the Nichols family.  They loved the rides and then cooled off at the water park.  Many thanks to Grandma and Papa for watching the kids, so that John and I could act like kids again :)

Emma's Last Day of Kindergarten

It is hard to believe that Emma wrapped up her First Grade year with Mrs. Makely on June 2nd.  She had a great year - and it was fun to watch her mature and continue to learn.  Their method of doing math is quite different than how I was taught, so it's interesting to learn right alongside of her.  She is looking forward to sleeping in and going to the pool this summer!

Emma played lacrosse for the first time and enjoyed learning the sport.

Soccer still remains her favorite.  She has been blessed to play with some wonderful girls with great families.  Above Emma poses with her teammates Reagan, Ella, Alli, and Kate!

Go Emma Go!

Happy Retirement Dad/Papa/Mr. Z!

My Dad is finally retiring after 42 years in elementary education!  We wanted to celebrate this big event so we were there at dismissal and when Papa saw his 5 "little ones" it was very special.
The students celebrated at school with "Mr. Z Day" and May 29th was declared "Mr. Z Day" in Hamilton County by the Board of County Commissioners.
 The whole family!
It wouldn't be a party without the Beatles - so we had "Eight Days A Week" come and perform.  My Dad even joined them for a few songs (shocking, I know!).
Dad, I hope your retirement isn't anything shy of a Magical Mystery Tour!
