Confirmation

I had the privilege of being our neighbor Rachel's sponsor for her Confirmation last weekend.  Rachel chose Sebastian as her saint and the girls were fascinated with Bishop Campbell.  It was a special evening, and I was honored to be a part of it.

Frozen

Frozen came out on DVD today and it was a perfect opportunity to have a little party.  This was Emma's 5th time seeing Frozen, and Kate's 4th (although she slept through the first one on Grandpa W's lap).  It is a wonderful movie with beautiful music - I'm sure Emma, Kate, and Sage will be watching it with their children when they have families of their own.

Earlier in the day Emma picked up my cell phone.  She said, "Mom you got a text from Dad and he says Frozen should be in the mailbox."  I told Emma to tell him that we got it.  Emma texted "Dad we got it" and thus my 6 year old daughter just sent her first text message!  Oh my!!

St. Patrick's Day 2014

As you may know, St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays (thus, my children enjoy the day as well).  Living in Chicago for a couple of years definitely made March 17th a special date to celebrate.  I worked this past weekend, but John took the kiddos to the Dublin St. Patrick's Day parade.  The kids hung out with their friends Ian (above) and Dane. Later we joined the Weatherwax's for a delicious dinner at Montgomery Inn...with a fantastic green beer!

Snow in March!!

Finally, some snow with some non-freezing temperatures!  We put the Frozen soundtrack on and we played outside.
We went to the park and Emma enjoyed riding the sled down the slide.
Kate liked being pulled in the sled.
Sage was trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue, he helped Daddy shovel the driveway and he liked using his garden tools in the snow.

Hotel Party with the Spicers!

We met the Spicer's in Mansfield for an overnight to celebrate Laura's birthday. The kids had a lot of fun together - enjoying the pool, hot tub, splash zone and water slide.
If you're ever traveling North on I-71 and you're hungry, right off the exit on Ohio 97 is Buckeye Express Diner.  The food was delicious and it is an old train turned turned restaurant.
